2009 year's theme was "Take a Seat!" and was held at the Avon Old Farms Hotel in Avon, CT in February.

The live and silent auction items featured "Take a Seat" themed items. Seat-themed inspired works of art created by Connecticut artists were auctioned off. Four examples can be seen on this page. The live auction was hosted by weatherman Mark Dixon of WFSB Channel 3 TV.

All contributions and proceeds from the Sweetheart Auction went to support Farmington Valley Arts Center's programs.
