Registration for Summer Arts Adventures opens on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at noon
During the summer, the Farmington Valley Arts Center’s picturesque and inspiring Avon campus becomes a place where young artists unleash their creativity and develop confidence in their abilities to express their ideas.
Each week campers will be led by professional teaching artists in projects related to the theme of the week using various mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, and kiln-fired clay!
Hours: Daily from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (bring a snack and drink)
Recommended age: 6-12
Tuition: $300 non-members / $270 household members, except shorter session 3: $180/$162

Fin, Fur and Feathers
We’ll be hunting for animal art with fin, fur and feathers, and have fun creating untamed works of our own.
Session 3: July 5 - 7 (3 days)
Pop Art Picnic
Get your chef's hat ready to create fabulous food-themed art designs. Summer picnics are our inspiration when we draw, paint, paper-mâché, and sculpt mouthwatering goodies.

Magical Fantasy
Once upon a time … create fantasy creatures and settings inspired by your favorite stories, movies, and imagination.
Session 5: July 17 - 21
Around the World
This is your ticket for exciting global art-making adventures! Begin each day in a new country & design your own artwork based on your visit!
Session 6: July 24 - 28
Designs in 3D
Art adventurers will add some depth to their works of art created in metal, paper, wood, stone, fiber, plaster, ceramics, or any other material we can find to create 3-dimensional art.
Session 7: July 31 - August 4
Art Lab
Combine art and science: Create color changing projects, rainbow catchers, crystal growing and more!
Session 8: August 7 -11
Magical Fantasy
Once upon a time … create fantasy creatures and settings inspired by your favorite stories, movies, and imagination.
Session 9: August 14 - 18
Wonderland
Plunge into an imaginary place full of enchanted characters and mythical creatures.
