Call To Artists

Farmington Valley Arts Center (FVAC) welcomes the spring with a call to artists for the exhibition, Natura. This exhibition brings together the work of artists who look to the natural world as their muse. The exhibition opens on Saturday, May 2nd, with a reception from 2:00-4:00pm in the Drezner Visitors’ Gallery at the Farmington Valley Arts Center.

The natural world has always provided endless inspiration for artists. We invite artists who draw upon the forms, sensations, materials, language and mystery of the natural world, to submit their artwork for the exhibition, Natura. Artworks that represent nature in a broad and visceral manner will be featured.

• Artists may submit 2D or 3D artwork not to exceed 30 inches in any direction (including frame).
• Accepted media include drawing, painting, mixed media, printmaking, photography, and sculpture.
• All artwork must be ready to hang with appropriate hardware and wiring across the back.
• All artwork must be for sale.
• All artwork must have the submission form attached with their artwork at the time of delivery.
• FVAC retains the right to refuse submissions for inappropriate content.
• FVAC is not responsible for theft, loss or damage to any artwork for any reason.

• $10 for one entry / $15 for two entries. A maximum of two artworks may be submitted.

Farmington Valley Arts Center is a non-profit 501c3 arts organization. All entry fees are used to underwrite exhibition costs.

• Artwork Delivery: Friday, April 24th, 10am-2pm (deliver to FVAC main office)
• Exhibition Dates: May 2-23, 2015
• Reception: Saturday, May 2, 2:00-4:00pm
• Gallery Hours: Wednesdays – Saturdays, Noon-4:00pm
• Artwork Pickup Date: To be provided
