Fiber is the source of all textile material. In the form of twine, yarn, line, string, cord, rope, it has always stirred man’s creative urge. Spinning, weaving, knotting, and knitting are age-old crafts.
Students will explore creative possibilities with simple twine or cord. By tying the cord into specific knots (macramé) unique objects could be created such as home décor and jewelry. We will make simple objects to decorate your home, like plant hangers and coasters. The fiber figures are just adorable. You can keep them for your inner child or give them as a gift for someone special. Join me for this playful class and enter a world of creativity where just a simple cord is needed. No previous experience is necessary.
Materials provided with a fee of $30
