This class is limited to two students. Design and create your own piece of jewelry under the guidance of a professional jeweler. Each student will have a station equipped with all the necessary tools. You’ll be introduced to many of the tools and methods of silver jewelry making. You’ll use pliers, files, jeweler’s saw, hammers, soldering torch, flex shaft, rolling mill, and polishing machine.
Come with a design in mind, or be inspired by finished pieces in Sue’s studio. You can choose to learn how to bezel-set a cabochon, make a ring, bracelet, earrings, or a pendant. Feel free to bring a flat bottom gemstone for bezeling or purchase one from Sue’s inventory. All sterling silver used will be charged by the pennyweight. For example, a bezel and backplate for a 1” stone will cost approximately $8.00. Fees payable during class.
