Explore the freedom of working large-scale with gestural techniques and applications that incorporate full-body movements in creating expansive artwork. Immerse yourself in a somatic experience, focusing on the connection between your body and the marks you make. Color choice, application, and explorative movement will be at the center of the process. This class provides a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment to delve into the process of art making. About the Instructor
Sarah is a multidisciplinary artist at FVAC. In her artwork, she focuses on themes of embodiment and expression, offering a unique perspective that enhances the art-making experience. Sarah is a therapeutic E-RYT specializing in mindful trauma-informed yoga. She has a BFA in painting, darkroom photography and art history. Sarah currently works in the arts and entertainment industry and is a former public school art teacher.
