Class Description

Join master printmaker Melissa Meredith for a six-week introduction to the art of printmaking. Explore a range of techniques such as monotype, drypoint, embossing, and linocut, each offering unique ways to create texture, line, and form. Working with our new professional printing press, students will produce expressive, hand-pulled prints while discovering the creative potential of each process. Perfect for beginners and returning artists alike.

About the Instructor

Melissa Meredith is a professional printmaker/painter with a studio at the Farmington Valley Arts Center in Avon, CT. She is represented in both private and corporate collections. She has exhibited extensively throughout the U.S. She has an MFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lives in Bloomfield, CT. She is also an avid gardener and botanist with the title Master Gardener added to her name.
