Class Description

Freelance photographer and photo artist, Andy Mars, will demonstrate different artistic techniques that you can experiment with on your own photos. This Mixed Media Photography Workshop will offer endless possibilities of combining photographs with pastel chalk and pencils and other drawing materials such as Sharpies. Learn how to create unique hand-colored and surprising mixed-media artworks that can be as realistic or exaggerated as you like. Mars will show the class samples of before and after photographs.

Materials
Please bring a few of your own photos (black & white or color, sized between 5x7” and 11x14”), preferably printed on matte photo paper—such as Strathmore Texture Ink Jet Paper (8.5" x 11") or any matte photo paper (e.g., Kodak Matte Paper Heavy Weight).

Optional printing service:
If you prefer, the instructor, Andy Mars, can print your images for you. The cost is $10 per 8.5x11" print. Please contact Andy at least one week before the workshop to arrange for one or two printouts.

About the Instructor

Andy Mars is a freelance photographer, photo artist & instructor. She photographs events (formerly specialized in weddings), people, and pets. She is a photography instructor teaching classes & workshops in digital photography, iPhoneography, mixed media photography and computer file organization & workflow.
