Class Description
You make beautiful work but does the world know it exists?
Join multidisciplinary artist Deborah Velásquez, who has built a globally recognized brand and engaged Instagram following through her art. In this class, she shares exactly how she did it and how you can too.
You'll learn how to create eye-catching flat lay photography, film and edit reels, and craft posts and stories that reflect your personality and art practice. Whether you're starting from scratch or refreshing an existing account, you'll leave with the tools to make social media a natural extension of your creative life.
This class covers:
• Setting up or improving your Instagram account
• Photographing flat lays of your artwork
• Filming process videos using your supplies, props, and yourself
• Making and editing reels, posts, and stories
• Curating your feed for brand recognition and sales
What to bring:
• Samples of artwork to photograph
• Art supplies and materials in your medium of choice
• Decorative items from your studio — jars, pretty objects, fabric for table settings
• Colored papers (optional, for background interest)
• Sketchbooks if you have work in them
• Come dressed and ready to work, as if you're about to paint — you'll be filming process videos!
A $10 supply fee is payable to the instructor (provides canvas lamps, foam core boards, and props)
