Summer Arts Adventures 2026
During the summer, the Farmington Valley Arts Center’s picturesque and inspiring Avon campus becomes a place where young artists unleash their creativity and develop confidence in their abilities to express their ideas.
Each week campers will be led by professional teaching artists in projects related to the theme of the week using various mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, and kiln-fired clay!
Hours: Daily from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (bring a snack and drink)
Recommended age: 6-12
Location: FVAC Annex 8C at 8 Canal Court, Unit C, Avon, CT 06001, across from FVAC campus
Tuition: $350 non-members / $315 household members

Once upon a time … create fantasy creatures and settings inspired by your favorite stories, movies, and imagination.
Session 3: July 6-10
Art Lab
Combine art and science: Create color changing projects, rainbow catchers, crystal growing and more!
Session 4: July 13-17
Wearable Art
From sculptural headpieces, hats, wallets and other chic accessories to vibrant printed t-shirts, discover the captivating fusion of art and fashion.
Session 5: July 20-24
Designs in 3D
Art adventurers will add some depth to their works of art created in metal, paper, wood, stone, fiber, plaster, ceramics, or any other material we can find to create 3-dimensional art.
Session 6: July 27-31
Art Remix
Discover iconic artists from different eras like Leonardo da Vinci, Picasso, or Andy Warhol, and put a modern twist on their work.
Session 7: August 3-7
Magical Fantasy
Once upon a time … create fantasy creatures and settings inspired by your favorite stories, movies, and imagination.
