Let's discover the magic and fun of kiln-fired clay! This class works with it all from slipping and scoring to coil, slab, and pinch techniques, firing, and glazing! Youth Ceramics will teach your child the wonderful world of pottery through various hand-building techniques and creative projects.
About the Instructor
Stefanie Baechler graduated from CCSU with a bachelor's degree in art education and English as a Second Language. Stefanie taught art to K-12 students at the Waterbury Public School and is now instructing art to 3rd through 6th graders at the Winchester Public school. Since her college years, Stefanie has taught youth art classes, art adventure programs, and art parties at the Farmington Valley Arts Center. She loves working with pen and ink, watercolor, and clay and is always looking for her next creative adventure.
