Class Description

Perfect for homeschoolers and any youth available during the day, this engaging art class builds strong foundational skills while encouraging creative expression. Students will explore drawing, painting, and sculpture through hands-on projects that introduce new tools and techniques. It’s a welcoming space to build confidence, experiment with materials, and grow as an artist.

About the Instructor

Elena Gibson has been a practicing fiber artist and educator for over 15 years. Galleries in Connecticut and Massachusetts are representing Elena's quirky work. As an experienced art teacher, Elena has run numerous workshops at the Farmington Valley Arts Center, West Hartford Art League, Mandell JCC, and several town recreation programs. Originally from Slovakia, Elena has a background in graphic design. Currently, you'll find her managing the Fisher Gallery gift shop at the Farmington Valley Arts Center.
