Class Description

Designed especially for homeschoolers, this class builds strong art skills while encouraging creative expression. Students will practice essential techniques in drawing, painting, and sculpture, with each project introducing new tools and methods. It’s a great way to strengthen fundamentals, explore new media, and grow as an artist in a supportive studio setting.

About the Instructor

Elena Gibson has been a practicing fiber artist and educator for over 15 years. Galleries in Connecticut and Massachusetts are representing Elena's quirky work. As an experienced art teacher, Elena has run numerous workshops at the Farmington Valley Arts Center, West Hartford Art League, Mandell JCC, and several town recreation programs. Originally from Slovakia, Elena has a background in graphic design. Currently, you'll find her managing the Fisher Gallery gift shop at the Farmington Valley Arts Center.
