Class Description
Dive into the richly textured world of collagraph printmaking. A collagraph is a print created by gluing and layering materials onto a cardboard or plastic base, which is then inked and run through an etching press. The textures and layers - whether raised or recessed - hold varying amounts of ink, creating rich tones and stunning visual effects in the final print. It’s a medium full of endless creative possibilities!
Fun fact: The word “collagraph” comes from the Greek kolla (meaning “glue”) and graph (meaning “to draw or write”).
