Class Description

In this class we will take our watercolor skills to the next level. This class is for students who have taken a watercolor class before, who paint from time to time on their own, and would like to build on their watercolor skills. Students will focus on layering and controlling paint, using a range of values, and mixing and applying a range of colors and textures to their artworks. We will start painting realistic subject matter and we will learn how to apply those painting skills to other types of painting. This class only meets four times during the spring, so students will be encouraged to work on their paintings in between classes. We will spend time during each class talking about our artworks, watching demonstrations, and practicing our watercolor skills.
